Joseph Carroll (Joe) Lamb, 76, died at 12:30 a.m. Oct. 29 in the Crosbyton hospital following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, with the Rev. Wayland Boyd of Amarillo officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. Ernest Stewart, pastor of the local church.

Special music was by Mrs. Bill Adams and Miss Ann Ivy.

Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home.

Lamb was born in Grimes County. He was married to the former Bevie Sollock in 1911. They came to Crosby County in 1918 in a covered wagon. He was employed by Lodal Oil Company here until his retirement a few years ago.

The son of the late Rev. H. A. Lamb, a Baptist minister, Lamb had been a member of the Baptist Church since his youth. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Bevie; one daughter, Mrs. Wiley McGee of San Angelo; three grandchildren, Marvin C. Arnold of Pampa, Joe R. Arnold of Dallas, and Chris Arnold of San Angelo and Texas Tech; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. E. T. Cluck of Munday and Mrs. Vera Flowers of Ralls; and three brothers, W. E. of Ralls, Velmo and Anton Lamb, both of Ralls.
