Layton Koch 67 of Crosbyton passed away December 23, 2014.
He was born September 9, 1947 in Higgins Texas, to Henry and Bessie Horswill Koch. He married Terri Mitchell in Crosbyton Texas on May 16, 1993. Layton worked for the USDA in the NRCS Department. He was a member of the Crosbyton Lions Club, and a past member of the Crosbyton School Board. Layton enjoyed cycling, working with stained glass and hunting.
He is survived by his wife Terri of Crosbyton, two daughters; Jonice Vaughn of San Angelo, and Tiffany Mitchell of Dumas, Three sons; Jeff Koch of Idalou, Tanner Mitchell of Ft. Worth, and Tristan Langston of Lubbock. Layton also leaves behind one brother, Eldon Koch of Aiken South Carolina, and a sister Lois Taylor of Darrouzett Texas, and his four grandchildren; Kelly, Kelsi, Karson, and Kinley.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014 at the First Baptist Church in Crosbyton Texas, burial will follow in the Crosbyton Cemetery under the care of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Southwest Cancer Center.
