U.S.Flag Services for Tedd Karr, 76, of Crosbyton were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 1999, at Crosbyton Frist Baptist Church with Rev. Les Griffin, pastor, officiating.

Burial was in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

He died Thursday, May 27, 1999, at Crosbyton Hospital. He was born May 31, 1922, in Crosbyton. He married Beatrice Azalea Brixey on Aug. 1, 1946. She died Dec. 27, 1975.

He was a member of Crosbyton High School in 1940. He was chosen as Crosbyton´s Citizen Through the Years in 1980 and as Man of the Year in 1989. He served as secretary-treasurer for the Caprock Peace Officers Association for 10 years and served on the Comanche Trail District of the Boy Scouts. He was commander of the American Legion post in Crosbyton for the past 8 years.

He coached Little League for many years. He was a member of the Downtown Bible class. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard for 4 years during World War II and saw extensive action in the South Pacific where he participated in five invasions.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy Weldon and Olin Edmond, and a sister, Edith Rowena Blagg.

Survivors include a son, Kelly Karr; one brother, Jimmy Karr and his wife, Wanda, of Crosbyton; several nieces and nephews.
