CROSBYTON (Special) - Services for Ruth V. Jordan, 70, will be at 2 p.m. today at the Crosbyton Church of Christ with Jim York, minister, officiating.Burial will be in the Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jordan died at 10:15 a.m. Thursday in Crosbyton Hospital after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Crosby County. She married Ferris V. "Shorty" Jordan Dec. 12, 1936, in Ralls. He died Jan. 11, 1975. Mrs. Jordan was a housewife, a member of the Crosbyton Church of Christ and had been employed by the Crosbyton Senior Citizens for the past seven years. She moved to Crosbyton in 1958 from Lubbock.
Survivors include five sons, Jerry and Charley, both of Crosbyton, Gary and Eddie, both of Ralls, and Tracy of Whitehouse; a daughter, Mrs. Clyde (Peggy) Ellison of Crosbyton; three brothers, Parks Benton and Russell Benton, both of Lubbock, and Charles Benton of Las Cruces, NM; three sisters, Anna Benton and Margaret Moore, both of Ralls, and Lucille Pace of Idalou; 12 grandchildren; and a great grandchild.
