Services for R. Weldon Jones, 69, of McAdoo were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 1990 at Rix Funeral Directors in Lubbock with Wayne McKamie, L.G. Butler and George Hogland officiating.
Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery.
Jones died at 3:08 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 1990 in St. Mary of the Plains Hospital in Lubbock after a brief illness.
He was a native of McAdoo. He married Helen Holt McGaughy Jan. 16, 1966, in Lubbock. He was a 1943 graduate of Texas Tech University and U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a farmer and a member of the Crosby County Farmers Union and the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Barry McGaughy of Long Beach, Calif. and Mark McGaughy of McAdoo; a daughter, Doris Spoons of Lubbock; two sisters, Arbrea Smith of Lubbock and Marjorie Blackwood of Tucson, Ariz.; and seven grandchildren.
