CROSBYTON (Special) Graveside services for Ray Noel Jones, 77, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. today in Crosbyton Cemetery with the Rev. David Parramore, pastor of Faith Temple Church in Lubbock, officiating.
Burial will be under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
Jones died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 1996, at his residence.
He was born May 28, 1919, in Crosbyton. He married Emma "Emily" Kuro on June 16, 1974, in Plains. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, and he was a member of Faith Temple in Lubbock. He moved to Lubbock from Anchorage, Alaska, in 1973. He was a former resident of Crosbyton.
He was a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Jimmy Doe of El Paso; six daughters, Bonnie Harkins, Charlene Dendy and Linnie Shreffler, all of Lubbock, Vikki Evans of Huntsville, Ala., Christen Chagnon of Mosca, Calif., and Rebecca Pevey of Allen, Wash.; a brother, Jack L. of Bozeman, Mont.; two sisters, Juanita Davis of Twenty-nine Palms, Calif. and Frankie Walden of Lubbock; 13 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Graveside Services for Emma K. "Emily" Jones, 77, of Lubbock will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 1, 2009 in the Crosbyton Cemetery with Rev. Jack Hargrave officiating. Burial is under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
Emma passed away Saturday, January 31, 2009 in Lubbock. She was born December 27, 1931 in Quesnel, British Columbia, Canada. She married Ray Noel Jones June 16, 1974 in Plains, Texas. He preceded her in death September 3, 1996. Emma was a nurse and had served in the Canadian Military. She moved to Lubbock in 1974 from Alaska. She was a member of the Church of the Harvest Assembly of God Church in Lubbock and she played the piano and guitar at nursing homes for several years.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Charlene and Steve Townsend of Lubbock, two grandchildren, Kellie Coats and her husband Keith and Aaron Mitchell and his wife Kristi, eight great grandchildren, Ashlee Mize and her husband Zach, Amanda Wiggins, Kaci Coats, Kodi Coats, Karsen Coats, Kaden Coats, Chloe Mitchell and Gaven Mitchell and a great, great granddaughter, Rylee Kae Mize.
