THOMAS JOHNSON, 40, DIES MONDAY AT HOME IN CROSBYTON

Funeral Services Conducted by Elder F.S. Vance Tuesday Afternoon

Thomas Johnson, 40, son of Mrs. Mary Francis Johnson, died Monday, May 15, at their home in South Crosbyton.

Funeral services were held Tuesday evening at 2:00 o'clock at the First Baptist Church, with Elder F. S. Vance conducting the services. He was buried in the Crosbyton cemetery with A. A. Hatchell in charge. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Mr. Johnson leaves a mother, one brother and three sisters. The brother, John Johnson of the East Plains, the sisters, Mrs. Maudie Lee Wilson of Hereford, Mrs. O. T. Stockton of Crosbyton, and Mrs. A. C. Music, all present at the funeral except Mrs. Music. His father and two infant brothers preceeded [sic] him in death.

Active pallbearers were Carl Wren, D.C. Cure, Lum Higginbotham, Dock Grubaugh, A.D. Alston and Thad Driver.
