Obituary
Lula Mae Johnson, 79, of Lubbock died Tuesday at her home. Celebration of Life Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Southcrest Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Crosby County Cemetery in Crosbyton under direction of Franklin-Bartley Funeral Home. Her family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.Mrs. Johnson was born in Floydada to Jewel and Carl Pierce. She married Wildon Lance Parker on September 3, 1946; he preceded her in death October 3, 1972. They had four children. She married Olan Lee Johnson on July 19, 1975 in Anton. Not only were they faithful members of Wayne Avenue Baptist Church for thirty years, they were involved with Campers on a Mission since 1993.
Survivors are her husband, Olan; son, Mike Parker and wife Pat of Frisco; daughters, Debbie Hays and husband Don; Carla Landrum; and Robin Ward, all of Lubbock; stepsons, Bruce Johnson and Blake Johnson of Lubbock; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Katie Davis and husband Thomas of Crosbyton; two brothers, Donald Pierce and wife Wynza; and Dick Pierce and wife Marilyn.
