Memorial services for Bobby Jim "Corky" Johnson of Crosbyton, a lifelong Crosby County resident, were at 2 p.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Roy Eason, pastor of the Assembly of God Church, officiated.

Burial was made in Crosbyton Cemetery, under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnson was 55.

He was claimed by death at 2:56 p.m. last Wednesday at Ralls Cemetery, where he had been employed for two weeks. Justice of the Peace Jim S. Travis ruled death was due to natural causes.

Mr. Johnson was born Jan. 8, 1930 in Crosbyton.

He served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his mother, Georgie Johnson of Crosbyton; one son, Jimmy Ray Johnson of Amarillo; one daughter, Tammy Gay Langford of Pampa; three brothers, Bill Johnson of Ralls, Eldeen Williams of Fort Stockton and Fred Johnson of Midland; and four sisters, Johnnie Lee Murphy of Seagraves, Georgia Mae Bishop of Rankin, Pearl Purdue of Clarksville, Ark., and June Davis of Crosbyton.
