CROSBYTON (Special) Services for Mary Hutchings, 75, of Crosbyton will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Crosbyton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lester B. Griffin officiating and the Rev. Bobby Rine of Idalou assisting.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

She died Tuesday, July 11, 2000, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

She was born March 7, 1925, in Corinth, Miss. She married Palmer Hutchings on Jan. 16, 1946, in Lamar County. She was a member of the Crosbyton First Baptist Church, where she worked in the church nursery for a number of years. She also worked at the Crosbyton Nursing Home for 10 years as a cook and for the Crosbyton Senior Citizens. She moved to Ralls in 1954 and then to Crosbyton in 1966. She was preceded in death by a grandson.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Timmie of Crosbyton; four daughter, Barbara Hunsucker of Crosbyton, Pamela Hutchings of Palm Desert, Calif., Kathy Dewbre of Lubbock and Julie Hutchings of Dallas; her mother, Annie Carmon of Crosbyton; a brother, Ernest Carmon of Happy Jack, Ariz.; four sisters, Vessie Hutchings of Paris, Rita Wade of Fort Worth, Helen Davis of Baker, Ore., and Joe Ella Murphy of Paris; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
