Aquilla Hutcherson

Graveside services for Ms. Aquilla Hutcherson, 69, of Crosbyton were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Mar. 21, 1989, in the Crosbyton Cemetery with the Rev. Eugene Gentry, pastor of the Galilee Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial was under direction of the Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hutcherson died in a fire at her home in Crosbyton which began about 12:45 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 1989. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Jim S. Travis, who is withholding a formal ruling in her death until fire officials complete their investigation.

Mrs. Hutcherson was born in Chandler and moved to Crosbyton in 1960. She married James N. Hutcherson April 3, 1952, in Brenham. He died in 1984. She was a homemaker and a member of Galilee Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Williams of Crosbyton; three sisters, Mae B. Dukes of Ft. Worth, Irma Pearl Bryant of Pontiac, Mich. and Bobby Sue McKinney of Rowlett; three half-sisters, Carolyn and Artisery of Tyler, and Lola of Ft. Worth; one half-brother, Glynn Mitchell of Ft. Worth, and one grandchild.
