Services for Mary Hunsucker, 77, of Crosbyton were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 1993, in the Church of Christ with Jim York, minister, officiating.Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
Mrs. Hunsucker died at 12:40 a.m. Friday, June 4, 1993, in Lubbock´s Methodist Hospital following a lengthy illness.
She was born March 31, 1916 in McAdoo. She married James Noble Hunsucker, Sr. on Dec. 12, 1937 in McAdoo. He preceded her in death on Nov. 14, 1967. She was a 1933 graduate of Spur Hugh School and attended Abilene Christian University. She was a member of the Crosbyton Church of Christ, Crosbyton Senior Citizens and the Wake Club. She moved to Crosbyton in 1977 from McAdoo. A son, Maj. Bill Hunsucker, preceded her in death on June 19, 1977. Also preceded in death was a brother, Dudley Wooten who died in 1952.
Survivors include a son Noble Hunsucker, Jr. of Crosbyton; two daughters-in-laws, Barbara Hunsucker of Crosbyton and Jenalou Hunsucker of Austin; a sister, Grace Hurst of Lubbock; a stepsister, Lucille Beyer of Spur; and five grandchildren, Brett Hunsucker, Kristi Hunsucker, Jeff Hunsucker, Kara Hunsucker and Jason Gowens.
