Obituary

Wake B. Humphries, 58, died here at 2 p.m. Wednesday. He had been in ill health for some time.

Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Friday in the First Methodist Church. Rev. Leslie Thompson, Fort Worth, will officiate.

Born in Gaffney, South Carolina, Humphries came here in 1925. He has farmed here since.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma; a son, Eston Humphries, Crosbyton; a daughter Mrs. Harold Allen, Ralls; a sister, Mrs. S. L. Martin, Crosbyton and five grandchildren.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery. King Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

CROSBYTON (Special) — Services for Thelma Odessa Graham, 85, of Ralls were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 1998, at First Assembly of God Church in Crosbyton with the Rev. Terry Nesmith, pastor of the Lubbock Faith Assembly of God Church in Lubbock, the Rev. G.A. Van Hoose of Floydada, and the Rev. Leslie Thompson Jr., officiating.

Burial followed in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home, Ralls.

Mrs. Graham died at 9 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 18, 1998, at her Ralls home following an illness.

She was born June 28, 1912, in Tulsa, Okla., and married Wake B. Humphries on May 30, 1926, in Saint Jo. He preceded her in death on Oct. 3, 1962. She then married John Graham on Feb. 2, 1968, in Lubbock. He preceded her in death in 1991.

She was a member of the Faith Assembly of God Church in Lubbock. She was an LVN and worked for Methodist Hospital and had also worked for Crosbyton Hospital. She moved to Ralls in March 1997 from Lubbock.

She was preceded in death by a son, Eston Humphries, in 1985.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty Allen of Ralls; a brother, Eston West of Tulsa, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
