Memorial services for C. J. (Nick) Hudson of Crosbyton were at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church. Dr. Lester B. Griffin, pastor, officiated.

Mr. Hudson, 82, had been a Crosby County resident since 1963.

Burial was made in Crosbyton Cemetery, under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Mr. Hudson was pronounced dead at 3:30 p.m. Thursday by Justice of the Peace Clyde Davis. His body was found early that afternoon on the Glass Ranch, near White River Lake.

Born June 25, 1903, in Oklahoma, Mr. Hudson was a rancher and an oil field worker. Prior to his retirement, he was employed on the L7 Ranch and Brunson Ranch.

He and Florence Edith Bradshaw were married Jan. 17, 1977, in Floydada.

Mr. Hudson was a member of the Downtown Bible Class.

Survivors include his wife; one stepson John Edwin Pender of Fort Worth; one step-daughter, Jenny Mae Bruton of Olney; two brothers, Newell Hudson of Graham and Clifford Hudson of Floydada; one half-brother, J.N. Holder of College Hill, Okla.; one half-sister, Ona Hall of Albuquerque, NM; one grandson, Bob Hudson of El Paso; two great grandsons; three step grandchildren, Chris ender, Paula Sue Taylor and Alan Bruton; and three step grandchildren.
