Claudes Huddleston
U.S.Flag Claudes T. Huddleston, a well-known resident of this community since 1932, was claimed by death about 1 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19. Mr. Huddleston was 78 years of age.

Memorial services were conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, in First Baptist Church.

The Rev. C. Melvin Ratheal of Tucson, Ariz., a Baptist pastor and son-in-law of the deceased, and the Rev. Ernest Stewart of Crosbyton officiated.

Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery, under direction of King Funeral Home.

Mr. Huddleston was born Sept. 8, 1895 in Tennessee.

He originally came to Crosbyton in 1921 and remained for a short period. After serving as manager of the Bryant Link Co. in Petersburg, he returned here as a permanent resident in 1932.

Mr. Huddleston was a member of First Baptist Church and had been a Baptist since 1909.

A retired farmer, he was a World War I veteran and a member of Crosbyton Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby; two daughters, Mrs. W.R. Adams of Crosbyton and Mrs. C. Melvin Ratheal of Tucson, Ariz.; a brother, Chester Huddleston of Crosbyton; and three grandchildren.
