Services for Irene Holcomb, 78, of Crosbyton were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, July 31, 1989 in Crosbyton Church of Christ with Jim York, minister, officiating.

Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Holcomb died at 9:45 p.m. Saturday, July 29, 1989 in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after an illness.

She was born in Erath County and moved to Crosbyton in 1922. She married Carl Holcomb on Oct. 26, 1962, in Lubbock. She was a beautician and owned Irene´s Beauty Shop for several years. She was a member of the Church of Christ and the Roadrunners Club and was past president of the Gun Club.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Forest Dendy of Boron, Calif., Stiles Dendy of Humble and Michael Dendy of Lauderhill, Fla., a daughter, Casey B.D. Allam of Lubbock; three sisters, Clara Lee Stevens of Ralls; Fay Robertson of Crosbyton and Jean Tilson of Austin; 10 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
