Harold Hodges Services for Harold D. Hodges, 67, of Crosbyton were held at 3 p.m. Friday, May 19, 1989 in the Crosbyton First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jo Carr, pastor, and Rev. Lee Crouch, pastor of Vernon´s First United Methodist Church officiating.

Burial followed in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Mr. Hodges died at 5:22 a.m. Wednesday, May 17, 1989 in Lubbock´s St. Mary´s Hospital following a sudden illness.

He was born Jan. 6, 1922 in Midlothian, Texas and married Faye Haltom February 8, 1942 in Crosbyton. He was a WWII Veteran serving in the Coast Guard. He moved to Crosbyton 57 years ago. He was a farmer, a member of the Crosbyton First United Methodist Church, where he served on the Administrative Board and a member of the West Texas Gin.

Survivors include his wife, Faye Hodges of Crosbyton; his mother, Esther Hodges of Lubbock; 3 daughters, Charlotte Lancet of Plano; Lynn Griffin of Austin; Suellen Cargile of Crosbyton; 2 brothers, Clyde Hodges of McAdoo and Arnold Hodges of Floydada; 2 sisters, Adlene Farrar of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Dolores Barton of Lubbock; 6 grandchildren, Paige Brewer, Melissa Lotz, Jennifer Griffin, Adam Cargile, Aric Cargile, Lance Griffin.

Faye HodgesServices for Faye Hodges, 81, of Crosbyton will be at 2:00 P. M., Thursday, March 2, 2006 at the Crosbyton First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lee Crouch and the Rev. Beth Harrington officiating. Burial will be in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Faye passed away Monday, February 27, 2006 at Crosbyton Hospital. She was born on July 13, 1924 in Crosbyton to the late Vesta Raney and Bessie (Sherwood) Haltom. On February 8, 1942 she married Harold Hodges in Crosbyton. He preceded her in death on May 17, 1989. Faye was a member of the Crosbyton First United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the Needle Club and the Study Club. She was a homemaker and had lived in Crosbyton all her life. Faye is preceded in death by two brothers; Ray Haltom in 1972 and Henry Haltom in 1994.

Survivors include; three daughters and their husbands; Charlotte and Tom Lancet of Plano, Lynn and Larry Griffin of Elkhart, Suellen and Joe Martin of Crosbyton seven grandchildren; Paige Brewer, Melissa Lind, Jennifer Walters, Adam Cargile, Aric Cargile, Lance Griffin and Dillon Willis and 6 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 1, 2006 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton.

Serving as pallbearers will be; Adam Cargile, Aric Cargile, Lance Griffin, Rick Hodges, Joe Mark Cargile, Trevor Brewer, Billy Tidwell, Mason Brewer, Dillon Willis, Michael Hodges, John Hodges and Jonathan Cantu.
