Funeral Service For Mrs. Hinkle Early This Week

Funeral for Mrs. Jennie B. Hinkle was held at 4 p.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church. Rev. Carl Grissom, Andrews, officiated. He was assisted by Rev. Wayne Grizzle.

Mrs. Hinkle, 82, died in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lillie Hargrove, here at 1:45 a.m. Sunday. She was a longtime resident of Crosbyton.

A native of Greenville, Mrs. Hinkle moved to Crosbyton in 1928.

Other survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Modawell, Lubbock; Mrs. Opal Whisenhunt, Memphis; Mrs. Nettie Metker, Irving; Mrs. Gladys Swindall, Crosbyton, and Mrs. Billie Gratton, Midland; two sons, I.B. Hinkle, Crosbyton, and W. W. Hinkle, Lubbock; two brothers, R.H. Clark, Plainview, and Archie Clark, Clarkston, Wash.; a half-brother, Orvil Crick, McCamey; a half sister, Mrs. Stella Alderson, Lefors; 29 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Burial was in Crosbyton cemetery. King Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
