U.S.Flag An extended illness terminated in death at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday for Isaac Bell (I.B.) Hinkle, a Crosby County resident for 48 years. Mr. Hinkle, 65, succumbed in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital.

Memorial rites are scheduled for 4 p.m. today (Thursday) in First Baptist Church. Rev. Stanley Nixon, pastor of Pansy Baptist Church, is to conduct and will be assisted by Bill Marley.

King Funeral Home is to direct interment in Crosbyton Cemetery.

The former Hazel Butler and I.B. Hinkle were married April 18, 1935 in Crosbyton. They resided at 505 South Crosby.

A Dallas County native who came to this county in 1926 from Irving, Mr. Hinkle was a custom farm operator.

He served in the South Pacific Theatre during World War II. A member of American Legion Post 188 in Crosbyton, he formerly was post commander.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel; one brother, W. W. Hinkle of Lubbock; six sisters, Mrs. Billie Gratton of Dallas, Mrs. Lee Medgar of Irving, Mrs. Lillie Hargrove and Mrs. Oscar Swindall, both of Crosbyton, Mrs. Myrtle Modawell of Lubbock and Mrs. Doc Wisenhunt of Memphis.
