Mrs. A. J. Himmel Is Buried Here Thursday

Services for Mrs. A. J. Himmel, 71, were held last Thursday, June 22, at the Crosbyton Church of Christ, at 10 a.m. Mrs. Himmel died Wednesday at her home here following an illness of several weeks.

F. L. Paisley of Fort Worth, former minister of the Crosbyton church, officiated, assisted by Leonard Dennis of McAdoo, also a former minister of the local church. Burial was in the Crosbyton cemetery.

Rosa Melving Cacy was born on Feb. 10, 1879, in Scott county, Ark. She was married to A. J. Himmel Oct. 5, 1896, and the family moved to Texas in 1901. They came to Crosby county in 1928. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1911, and also one son, Frank, in October 1947.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. J. R. Nelson of Hillsboro, Mrs. A. W. Walker of Post and Mrs. W. M. Hill of Lubbock; four sons, Ray of San Angelo, Earl of Lubbock, John and Tony of Crosbyton; a brother, Hiram Cacy of Olivehurs, Calif.; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were A. D. Alston, O. W. Howard and C. D. Anderson, all of Crosbyton; W. W. McClure and A. D. Ellison of Ralls, and Virgil Melton of Lubbock.
