Memorial rites for Mrs. Roena Frances Hill, a Crosbyton resident for 35 years, were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday in First Baptist Church. The Rev. Bobby Rine, pastor, officiated.

Interment was made in Crosbyton Cemetery beside the grave of her late husband, Robert Lawson Hill, who preceded her in death in 1959. King Funeral Home directed arrangements.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Mrs. Hill, 84, succumbed at 11:30 p.m. last Wednesday in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital. She suffered a short illness.

Born July 13, 1891 in Alabama, the former Roena Frances Craze and Robert Lawson Hill were married September 4, 1910 at Spanish Fort. The family moved to this community in 1940 from Bowie.

Mrs. Hill was a member of the First Baptist Church in Crosbyton.

Survivors include: three sons, Floyd Hill of Crosbyton, Fred Hill of Lubbock, and Melvin Hill of Fort Worth; one daughter, Mrs. M. C. Money of Paris; one sister, Mrs. Nancy Miller of Ringling, Okla.; nine grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
