Memorial tribute to a well known Crosbyton area farmer, William Clyde Hayley, were paid during 2 p.m. Friday services in the First Baptist Church. Officiating were the Rev. Bobby Rine, pastor, and the Rev. Ronnie Marley, a Baptist minister residing in Lubbock.Interment was made in Crosbyton Cemetery, under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.
Mr. Hayley, 73, was claimed by death at 11 a.m. last Wednesday, Jan. 28, in Highland Hospital, Lubbock, following a lengthy illness.
Born March 7, 1907 at Mart, Clyde Hayley had resided in the Crosbyton area since he was five.
He was married to the former Ada Jewell Simmons in Lubbock.
Mr. Hayley was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, Ada, include one son, Clyde Dawson Haley of Huntington Beach, Calif.; a sister, Lucile Sullivan of Fort Worth; and four grandchildren.
Another son, Joe Wayne Hayley, preceded his father in death on Aug. 10, 1980.
