Services for Joe Wayne Hayley, 39, of Crosbyton were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church of Crosbyton with the Rev. Ronnie Marley of Lubbock and the Rev. C.M. Fields of Sweetwater officiating.Burial was made in Crosbyton Cemetery, under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
Mr. Hayley died at 3:40 p.m. Sunday in Methodist Hospital in Lubbock of a gunshot wound sustained Saturday night in Lubbock.
Born July 2, 1941 in Crosbyton, Mr. Hayley was employed as a machinist at Gould´s Pumps, Inc., in Lubbock. He had resided in the Crosbyton and Lubbock area his entire life.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Crosbyton.
Survivors include his father, Clyde Hayley Sr. of Crosbyton; one son, Joe Wayne Hayley Jr. of Sweetwater; two daughters, Brenda Hayley of Abilene and Becky Hayley of Fort Worth; and one brother, Clyde Dawson Hayley of Fountain Valley, Calif.
