Services for Edgar Ellis Harden, 79, of Kennedale were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 1989, in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jo Carr, pastor, officiating.

Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

He died at 12 midnight Thursday, June 1, 1989, in Fort Worth´s All Saints Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Harden was born in Granbury and moved from Brownfield to the Fort Worth area 15 years ago. He was a building contractor for churches, schools and banks. He was a member of the Fort Worth Senior Citizens and the moose Lodge. He was a Methodist.

Survivors include a son, Gerald of California; a daughter, Merle Beth Harden of California; two brothers, I. H. "Bill" of Lubbock and Arthur of Levelland; two sisters, Alice Harris of Ralls and Juanita Moses of Lubbock; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
