Mrs. Louva Nettie Hames, 80, died about 1:15 a.m. Saturday, July 17, in Colonial Nursing home in Lubbock. Mrs. Hames resided at 109 North Farmer.Mrs. Hames had resided in Crosby County for over half a century. She moved to this county in 1919 from Bronte.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in First United Methodist Church in Crosbyton with the Rev. Johnnie Williams, pastor, officiating. Burial was made in Crosbyton Cemetery, under direction of King Funeral Home.
Born January 21, 1896 in Erath County, she and Quincy L. Hames were married May 31, 1919, in Sweetwater.
The deceased was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Crosbyton, where she was a Sunday School teacher for a number of years. She also was a member of the United Methodist Women.
Mrs. Hames is survived by her husband, Quincy L. Hames of Crosbyton; one brother, James Kiker of Portales, N.M.; and three sisters, Mrs. Macey Hinke of Lake Tahoe, Calif., Mrs. Lucilla Smith of Sacramento, Calif., and Mrs. Helen Selman of Watrous, N.M.
