Rosary for Rita Gutierrez, 24, of Crosbyton will be said at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at the San Jose Catholic Church in Crosbyton. Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2009 at the same church with Father Ernesto Lopez officiating. Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
Rita passed away on March 6, 2009 in Lubbock. She was born September 16, 1984 in Lubbock to Jorge Luis Gutierrez, Sr. and Blanca Stella (Silva) Salinas. She had lived in Crosbyton all of her life. Rita was preceded in death by her father, Jorge Luis Gutierrez, Sr. on January 21, 2009, and a brother, Guadalupe Salinas on March 6, 2009.
Survivors include her mother, Blanca Salinas of Crosbyton; three brothers, Joe Angel Salinas, Jr. of Ralls, Jorge Luis Gutierrez, Jr. of Albuquerque, N.M., Robert Lee Gutierrez of Crosbyton; three sisters, Rosemary Salinas of Crosbyton, Josie Gutierrez of Lubbock, and April Salinas of Crosbyton.
