Services for Joe Eric Gutierrez, 11, of Crosbyton were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2003 at San Jose Catholic Church in Crosbyton with the Rev. Leonardo Pahamtang officiating. Rosary was said at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the same church.
Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
He died Saturday, March 29 at Cook Childrens Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
He was born June 8, 1991 in Lubbock, Texas. He had lived in Crosbyton all his life and was attending Crosbyton Middle School where he enjoyed art, playing basketball and baseball. He was a member of San Jose Catholic Church where he was in Catholic Christian Education.
Survivors include his parents, Joe and Irene of Crosbyton; grandparents, Jose Sr. and Juanita Gutierrez of Crosbyton and Inocente, Sr. and Margarita Castro of Ralls; two brothers, Roel of San Diego, Calif., Ismael of Crosbyton; three sisters, Kristal, Beth and Ida all of Crosbyton.
