Myrt Griffin

Mildred Laverne (Myrt) Griffin, a 53-year-old Lubbock resident and formerly of Crosbyton, was buried Tuesday in Crosbyton Cemetery following 10 a.m. services that day in the W. W. Rix chapel in Lubbock. Ken Dye, minister of the Broadway Church of Christ, officiated.

Mrs. Griffin was found dead about 8 p.m. Saturday at her mobile home in Lubbock.

A Frost native, she was reared in Ralls and lived in Crosbyton for 27 years before moving four years ago to Lubbock.

Mrs. Griffin was employed in the laboratory at Devro, Inc., in Lubbock. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Hamilton of Rockwall, Jan Proctor and Phyllis Nixon, both of Lubbock; two sisters, Juanita Moses of Lubbock and Alice Harris of Ralls; three brothers, Bill Harden of Lubbock, Edgar Harden of Dallas and Arthur Harden of Abilene; and two grandchildren.
