Mrs. Hazel Griffin, 53, a Crosbyton resident 49 years, died about 5:15 p.m. August 25 in a Hale Center hospital following a lengthy illness.

Funeral was conducted at 4 p.m. Friday in the Crosbyton Church of Christ with Bill Bryant, minister of Parkway Drive Church of Christ in Lubbock, officiating.

The Rev. Donald Hancock of Plainview and Roger Turner, minister of the church, assisted. Burial was in the Crosbyton Cemetery directed by King Funeral Home.

Mrs. Griffin, a native of Tennessee, is survived by her husband, Ruel; a daughter, Mrs. Lonnie Richardson of Hereford; three sons, Dub of Lubbock, Arthur Lee of Crosbyton and Forrest of Ralls; her mother, Mrs. Lillie Edwards of Crosbyton.

Three brothers, Hoyt and Charles Edwards, both of Lubbock, and Kenneth Edwards of Lockney; three sisters, Mrs. L. D. Marley of Crosbyton, Mrs. Harley Meek of Plainview and Mrs. Quida Walker of Lubbock; and seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers were John Will Stewart, D. B. Ellision, Woodrow Robertson, Bob Hardin, Jack Brixey and Alvin Ogle.
