Maria Gorostisa
Rosary for Maria Gorostisa, 75, of Lubbock will be at 7 p.m. today at Calvillo Funeral Home Chapel.

Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Wednesday at San Jose Catholic Church in Crosbyton.

Burial will be at Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Calvillo Funeral Home.

She died Friday, May 9, 1997, at Columbia Clearlake Hospital in Westboro.

She was born June 2, 1921, in Kingsville. She married Martin Gorostisa in 1941 in Mississippi. He preceded her in death April 6, 1997.

She was a homemaker and had lived in Lubbock since she moved from Crosbyton in 1979. She was a Catholic.

Survivors include seven sons, Jamie, Pedro, Rojelio and Richard, all of Lubbock. Melton and Santos, both of California, and Jose Luis of Dallas; seven daughters, Apolonia Munoz of San Antonio, Minerva Casillo of Crosbyton, Olga Herrera of Weslaco, Diana Martinez of Lubbock, Juana Nieto of Alvin and Rosaura Gorostisa of Houston, and Yolanda Rendon of Ralls; four brothers, Silverio Esquivel of Edcouch and Arturo, Guadalupe and Pablo, all of Washington; 58 grandchildren; and 83 great-grandchildren.
