Viola "Mick" Wiggins was born April 2, 1924 in Crosbyton, TX to Johnny and Betty Montgomery Wiggins. Viola married Matthew Gordon on Novmeber 22, 1947 in Crosbyton. He departed this life in 1961. She was a member of New Zion Baptist Curch in Lubbock, TX. She worked at Hotel Dieu Hospital in El Paso, TX. She also worked at Texas Instruments. Green Thumb and the Attorney General´s office in Lubbock, TX.

She moved to Lubbock in 1978 from El Paso. She was a former resident of Crosbyton.

Viola departed this life March 31, 1999. She left to mourn her, two daughters, Linda Gordon and Barara Gordon, of Lubbock, TX and one brother, Johnny Wiggins of Crosbyton.

Memorial services were held Friday, April 2, 1999 at ten o'clock a.m. in Galilee Baptist Church in Crosbyton with Rev. M.D. Harris and Rev. Leonard Chatham officiating.

Pallbearers were Johnny Wiggins, Charles Frater, Robert Wiggins, Jacob Woods, Rodney Roberts and Eugene Johnson. Interment was in Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Obituary

Services for Viola Wiggins Gordon, 74, of Lubbock were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Apr. 2, 1999, at Galilee Baptist church with Rev. M.D. Harris officiating.

Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton.

She died Wednesday, March 13, 1999, at her residence.

She was born Apr. 2, 1924, in Crosbyton. She married Matthew Gordon on Nov. 22, 1947, in Crosbyton. He died in 1961.

She was a member of New Zion Baptist church in Lubbock. She worked at Hotel Dieu Hospital in El Paso. She also worked at Texas Instruments, Green Thumb, and for the Attorney General's office in Lubbock. She moved to Lubbock in 1978 from El Paso. She is a former resident of Crosbyton.

Survivors include two daughters; Lynda Gordon of Lubbock, Barbara Gordon of Lubbock, one brother; Johnny Wiggins of Crosbyton.

Pall Bearers were; Johnny Wiggins, Charles Frater, Jack Woods, Robert Wiggins and Rodney Robertson.
