Dama Givens PhotoServices for Dama Richardson Givens, 92, of Crosbyton will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, 2004, at the Crosbyton First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Karan Young officiating. Burial will be in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton. Mrs. Givens died Monday, Aug. 2, 2004, at the Crosbyton Nursing Home.

She was born Aug. 13, 1911 in Aquilla to John Morgan and Linnie Ethel Henderson Bennett. On Nov. 11, 1931, she married Willard Richardson. He died March 28, 1973. Mrs. Givens moved to Crosbyton in 1929. She was a member of the Crosbyton First United Methodist Church, where she was in the United Methodist Women and the Opportunity Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Harmony Club, the Garden Club and the Crosbyton Senior Citizens.

She was instrumental in the building of the present day location of the Crosbyton Senior Citizens building and she worked there for several years. Survivors include a son, George Richardson of Houston; three daughters and their husbands, Nancy and Dick McDuff of Bacliff, Priscilla and Clayburn Marsh of Crosbyton, and Myrna and Jack Coffman of Lubbock; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
