Rosary for Anselmo Garcia Sr., 72, of Crosbyton were recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 1992, in San Jose Catholic Church with the Rev. Gerald Leatham, pastor, officiating.Services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 1992, in the same church and with the same officiant.
Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
Garcia died at 8 a.m. Monday, May 11, 1992, at his residence.
He was born June 2, 1919, in Mexico, and had lived in Crosbyton for 28 years. He married Isidra Chavez Aug. 21, 1971 in Ralls. She preceded him in death July 3, 1991. H was a Catholic and a member of the Sacred Heart.
Survivors include three sons, Peter Cruz of Houston, John Garcia of Crosbyton and Anselmo "Beaver" Garcia Jr. of Crosbyton; five daughters, Susie Medina of Miles, Bettye Lira of Haskell, Anita Rodriguez of Lakeview, Janie Rendon of Crosbyton and Rosie Salas of Crosbyton; a sister, Maria Leal of Plainview; 13 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Armando Luna, Guadalupe Salas, T. P. Murrillo, Roman Rendon, Frank Lira, and Pete Arriaga.
