CROSBYTON (Special) - Funeral services for Mrs. Emma (Mammy) Fullingim, 93, pioneer area resident, are set for 3 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church here.Officiating will be the Rev. Payton Fullingim, Lubbock, assisted by the Rev. Ernest Stewart, First Baptist Church pastor here and the Rev. Bill Kent, pastor of First Methodist Church here.
Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home.
Mrs. Fullingim died at 3:20 p.m. Thursday at Crosbyton Hospital. She had suffered a stroke earlier in the day at the home of a daughter.
Mrs. Fullingim, who was born at the foot of Pike´s Peak, near Colorado Springs, Colo., moved to Floyd County in 1887. She married the late John K. Fullingim in 1890.
The couple moved to old Emma in 1900 where Fullingim served as sheriff eight years. They came to Crosbyton in 1910 and operated the City Hotel here until 1958.
She was a member of the Baptist Church.
Pallbearers include Jimmy Edwards, Clyde Ausmus, Don Parker, Forrest Griffin, Joe Lowrie, Alvie Ratheal, Weldon Denby, and Charles Freeman.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Guy Denton, Mrs. Romey Coffey and Mrs. Dessie Walters, all of Crosbyton and (rest of clipping not saved)
