Obituary

Roy Fullbright Services Monday

U.S.Flag   CROSBYTON (Special) — Roy Fullbright, 40, died Friday at 8 a.m., in West Texas Hospital, Lubbock.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Galilee Baptist Church here. Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of King Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Laverne; one step-son, Richard Harris of Dallas; two brothers, Morgan and Theodore of Amarillo; four sisters, Letha Culton of Fullerton, Calif., Mrs. Susie Paudler and Edna Rae Bullbright, both of Amarillo; and his mother, Mrs. Margaret Fullbright of Amarillo.

Thought to be the first black person buried in the Crosbyton Cemetery. Prior to this date, blacks were buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery further west of town overlooking the beautiful canyons.
