U.S.Flag Services for Lonnie Gene Fulford, 69, of Crosbyton were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001, at Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton with the Rev. Danny Sanders officiating.

Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral home of Crosbyton.

He died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at Crosbyton Hospital.

He was a graduate of Meadow High School and had worked at Union ISD until his retirement in 1999. He served in the U.S. Army where he worked as a driver for high-ranking officers. He was present at the atomic bomb testing in Nevada while in the service and was honorably discharged with the rank of corporal.

Survivors include his wife, Norlena Fulford of Crosbyton; two sons, Randy Fulford and Jace Fulford, both of Irving; one daughter, Larana Kirby of Meadow; two brothers, James Fulford of Lubbock and Dale Fulford of Slaton; two sisters, JoAnn Lord, and Susan Fulford Haney of Slaton; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
