Obituary

Rosa Freeman Mrs. Rosa Freeman was buried last Thursday in Crosbyton Cemetery following 11 a.m. memorial services in First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Dick Richards, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Ralls, officiated.

Adams Funeral Home directed arrangements.

Serving as pallbearers were Jack Lawless of Houston, Dan Novosad of Bryan, Jimmy Don Freeman of Crowley, all grandsons; Billie Cornelius, Compton Cornelius, Dee Cash, Ross Cash, and Bill Marley, all of Crosbyton.

Mrs. Freeman, 93, succumbed about 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital.

Mrs. Freeman had been a Crosbyton resident since 1925.

Born Feb. 14, 1884 in Edge, Tex., the former Rosa Elliott was married Dec. 24, 1902 to Ira Vee Freeman. Vows were exchanged in the family home at Edge.

Mr. Freeman, a farmer, preceded his wife in death Oct. 5, 1947.

The longtime Crosbyton resident is survived by one son, Mack Freeman of Fort Worth; four daughters, Mrs. S.W. (Beula) Lawless of Bryan, Mrs. T. R. (Ruth) Williams of Houston, Mrs. Helen Hash of Crosbyton; and Mrs. A.C. (Martha) Novosad of Bryan; one brother, Ross Elliott of Port Arthur; two sisters, Mrs. James Yardley of Bryan and Mrs. John Bennett of McGregor; and nine grandchildren.

Three other children preceded their mother in death; Elsie Freeman in 1927, Burt Freeman in 1938, and Oliver Freeman in 1949.
