Rites Read For Ralph Fowler Here Monday
Funeral services for Ralph E. Fowler, 68, were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the First United Methodist Church.Fowler, a resident of Crosbyton for 57 years, died about 12:30 p.m. Saturday. He was dead on arrival at the Crosbyton hospital after suffering an apparent heat attack at his home in the Big Four Community.
Joe Jackson of Cone officiated at the services. He was assisted by the Rev. Lee Crouch, pastor, and the Rev. Ernest Stewart, pastor of the First Baptist Church.
Burial in Crosbyton cemetery was under direction of King Funeral Home.
Fowler was a native of Arcadia, Neb., and moved with his family to the Big Four community in 1914. He was married to Jewel Oden in 1922.
Survivors include his wife, Jewel; two daughters, Mrs. Jack Brixey and Mrs. Melvin Powell of Crosbyton; three brothers, Glenford, O.C. and Arnal of Crosbyton; a sister, Mrs. Bill Parker of Foraker, Okla.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were E. H. Flournoy, Jr., Ted Karr, Dean Powell, Donnie Powell, John Pinkston, and John Criswell.

Fowler was born in Arcadia, Neb. His family moved to the Big Four community northeast of Crosbyton in 1914.
He was married to Jewel Oden Aug. 27, 1922, and farmed in the area.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Jack Brixey and Mrs. Melvin Powell of Crosbyton; three brothers, Glinford, O.C. and Arnal of Crosbyton; a sister, Mrs. Bill Parker of Foraker, Okla.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
