Services for Edna Opal Fowler, 87, of Crosbyton were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, 1994, in the Crosbyton First Baptist Church with Rev. Lester B. Griffin, pastor, officiating.
Interment followed in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
Mrs. Fowler died at 5:15 a.m. Monday, Oct. 31, 1994, in the Crosbyton Care Center following an illness.
She was born April 6, 1907 in Childress, Texas and married Loyd E. Fowler April 9, 1927 in Crosbyton. He preceded her in death Dec. 6, 1983. She was a homemaker and a member of the Crosbyton First Baptist Church and the Esther Sunday School Class, and she also helped in the church kitchen for several years. She was a member and officer of Big 4 Quilting Club. She moved to Crosbyton in 1926 from Paducah.
She is preceded in death by 7 brothers, Clyde, Ross, Earl, Kelsey, Harry, Green and Howard Woods.
Survivors include two sons, James E. Fowler of Bakersfield, CA, and Darwyn Wayne Fowler of Arlington; two daughters, June Hargis of Henrietta, and Linda Phillips of Round Rock; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Karr, R.P. Kirkendall, Gene Chappell, Guy Thompson, Oma Ray Justus and Joe Cargile.
