Services for E.H. Flournoy, 83, of Crosbyton were held at 2 p.m., Monday, Mar. 17, 2003, at Crosbyton First United Methodist Church with Johnnie Williams officiating.

Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home in Crosbyton.

He died Saturday, March 15, 2003 at Lubbock Covenant Medical Center.

He was born June 11, 1919, in Campbell, TX.

He married Tessibel Brixey on Jan. 20, 1944, in Crosbyton.

He was a member of the Crosbyton First United Methodist Church. He was member of the Masonic Lodge for more than 50 years, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. He worked at the Federal Land Bank in Spur and Crosbyton for 40 years and had served as president.

He served in the Army during World War II and received a Purple Heart. He had lived in Crosbyton all his life.

Survivors include his wife, Tess Flournoy of Crosbyton; three sons, Jerry Don Flournoy of Spur, Jimmy Dale Flournoy of Kerrville and Johnny Eugene Flournoy of Divide, Colo.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services for Tess Flournoy, 86, of Crosbyton will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 11, 2009 in the Crosbyton Cemetery. Arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Bernice Tessibel "Tess" Flournoy was born in Burkburnett, Texas on April 2, 1923 to Maudie Lou (Jordan) and Leonard Earl Brixey. In October of 1942 her family moved to Crosbyton. She married E. H. Flournoy, Jr. in Crosbyton on January 20, 1944. He preceded her in death March 15, 2003. A homemaker, Tess was a member of the Crosbyton First United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.

She is preceded in death by a son Jimmy Dale Flournoy, a brother, Jack Brixey and a sister Beatrice Karr.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Jerry and Beverly Flournoy of Spur and Johnny and Valerie Flournoy of Divide, Colorado, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
