Glenda Ferree photoServices for Glenda Ferree, 74, of Crosbyton will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 25, 2010 at the Crosbyton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lester Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton. Glenda passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at University Medical Center in Lubbock. She was born October 2, 1935 in Crosbyton to the late Oscar B. and Gladys (Hinkle) Swindall. On July 19, 1952 she married Don Ferree in Crosbyton.

A lifelong resident of Crosbyton, Glenda was a member of the Crosbyton First Baptist Church and was an avid fan of the Lady Raiders. Glenda worked for Crosbyton ISD in the school cafeteria for 27 years and at the Girl Scout Camp Rio Blanco cafeteria during many summers. She sang with the Swindall Quartet Singers and was a member of the Hallelujah Choir.

She is preceded in death by a son, Bobby Ferree on February 16, 1995 and a brother, Oscar Berry Swindall, Jr. who died on August 9, 1950 during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include; her husband, Don of Crosbyton; a son and his wife, Kelly and Tracy Ferree of Houston; a daughter and her husband, Darla and David Hightower of Colorado Springs, CO; a brother and his wife, Si and Ruby Nell Swindall of Crosbyton; two sisters, Dollie Richardson of Crosbyton, Ann and husband Jim Sanders of Mesquite and 5 grandchildren.
