M.A. Etheridge Dies Tuesday, Rites Pending
Funeral services for Melvin A. Ethridge, 71, will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in King Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Otis Testerman, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will officiate.
Masonic graveside rites will also be conducted.
A resident since 1944, Etheridge was a native of Missouri. He was employed by the Soil Conservation Service until his retirement in 1952. He was a member of the Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Maudie; a son, Melvin Lane, of Houston; a daughter, Mrs. C.O. Evans, Fort Worth; six brothers, Dobson, Alvis and Jasper, all of Dallas; Delton, Waco; Allen, Kilgore, and Virgil, Georgia; two sisters, Mrs. Emmett Winchester, Dallas and Mrs. Sam Weaver, address not available, and five grandchildren.
Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery. King Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
