Warren Ellis falls from Windmill: Is Killed

A very sad death occurred here late last Thursday evening, when the little six year old son of Mr. and Mrs. R.W. Ellis fell from a twenty-four feet windmill and was killed. He lived only a few minutes after the accident occurred. It was said that his little sister was out watching him climb the windmill and he had gotten within two or three rungs of the top, she said, and as she turned off to look at something else and just at this time Warren Beal in some way lost his footing and fell to the ground, striking the back of his head. Mrs. Ellis called a neighbor who was working nearby who rushed to town after Mr. Ellis, and by the time they returned home the little boy was dead.

Funeral services were held at the home Friday evening at four o´clock with A. A Hatchell, undertaker, in charge, at which time a host of friends assembled to comfort the family and pay the last sad rites to the departed one. Follwing the funeral services interment was made in the Crosbyton cemetery.
