Final Rites for Dillard H. Dyer Set For Today

Dillard H. Dyer, 85, died at 11:40 p.m. Wednesday night in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital. He had been a resident of Crosbyton for 41 years.

Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, at 2 p.m. in Crosbyton Church of Christ. Carl Maples, Broken Arrow, Okla., will conduct the services, assisted by Thomas Compton, local minister. Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of King Funeral Home.

Born Sept. 28, 1875, at Cooksville, Tenn., Mr. Dyer came to Crosbyton in 1920. He was a carpenter until his retirement several years ago.

Survivors include the wife, Melinda; a son, A.R. Dyer, Odessa; two daughters, Mrs. H.J. Love, Chester, Calif., and Mrs. Vance Newman, of Columbia, Tenn.; five brothers, Wilbur, Russell and Bazz, Cooksville, Tenn., H.J. of Denton and C.L., Lubbock; two sisters, Mrs. Conner Brown and Mrs. Ada Cannon, both of Cooksville; and one grandson.
