Jimmy DunnServices for Jimmy Charles Dunn, 60, of Crosbyton were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Lester B. Griffin, pastor, officiating.

Burial was in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.

Dunn died early Monday, Dec. 9, 1991, in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Crosbyton. He married Mary Whisenant on Jan. 27, 1951, in Denton. He attended West Texas State University and the University of North Texas. He was an insurance agent and had owned Citizens Insurance Agency in Crosbyton for many years. He was a member of the Kansas City Life Insurance Advisory Board.

He was a former member of the Crosbyton City Council, the Crosbyton Volunteer Fire Department and the Community Action Board. He was a member of the Downtown Bible Class and was a member of the board of directors of Crosbyton Clinic Hospital.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Jimmy Jr. of Lubbock; a daughter, Virginia Petree of Lubbock; a sister, Hazel Elms of McAllen; and three grandchildren.

Mary DunnGraveside services for Mary Dunn, 74, of Crosbyton were at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 22, 2008 in the Crosbyton Cemetery with Rev. Lee Crouch officiating. Arrangements were under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton. Mary passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at Covenant Specialty Hospital in Lubbock.

She was born December 24, 1933 in Dallas to the late Clarence and Addie Lois (Taylor) Whisenant. On January 27, 1951 she married Jimmy Dunn in Denton. He preceded her in death on December 9, 1991. Mary was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include; a son and his wife, Jimmy Dunn, Jr. and Vickie of Lubbock, a daughter; Virginia Davis of Lubbock, three grandchildren; Julie Beaver and husband Chad of Lubbock, Natilie Dunn Furdek of Austin, Brandi Davis of Lubbock, four great grandchildren; Jaiden Virginia Tucker, Ethan Beaver, Lauren Beaver and Nickolas Furdek.
