Services for Ruby Augusta Donathan, 84, of Ralls were held at the Crosbyton First Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Monday, December 16, 1996, with Rev. Bobby Sanders of Aubrey, TX, officiating.

Burial followed in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.

Mrs. Donathan died at 8:15 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 1996, in the Crosbyton Clinic Hospital following an illness.

She was born August 31, 1912, in Leon County, TX. She married P.C. "Jake" Donathan in Dickens, TX, in 1933. He preceded her in death Feb. 14, 1977. She was a homemaker and a member of the Crosbyton First Baptist Church. She moved to Crosbyton in 1948 from Spur. She had lived in Crosby County and Spur all her life. A grandchild also preceded her in death.

Survivors include four sons, Tommy Donathan of Midland, Wayne Donathan of Ralls, Robert "Bob" Donathan of Cone, and Cecil Donathan of Kemp; one brother, Alvin Ware of Oklahoma; two sisters, Irene Massie of Ft. Worth and Lola Belle Cline of Lubbock; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were her grandsons Gary Donathan, Terry Donathan, Lyle Donathan, Lance Donathan, Michael Donathan and Loyd Donathan.

Honorary pallbearers were Michael Donathan and David Criswell.
