Graveside services for Wilma Louise Purkeypile Davis, 91, of San Angelo were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004, at Crosbyton Cemetery with the Rev. Johnnie Williams officiating. Arrangements are under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
She died Thursday, Jan. 29, at Shannon Medical Center St. John's Campus in San Angelo.
She was born Feb. 5, 1912, in Eureka, Kan., the first of eight children born to Richard and Rose Woods Purkeypile.
She married Sam L. Davis on Sept. 19, 1941, in Lubbock. He died Jan. 13, 1992.
A long-time resident of Crosbyton, she retired from nursing at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock. She moved to the Manor in San Angelo in 1992.
Survivors include three sisters, Agnes Wheeler of Hendersonville, N.C., Virginia Passmore of San Angelo, and Imogene Latham of Dallas.
