Services for Jack Davis, 73, of Lubbock will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Bellaire Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronnie Marley of Fort Worth and the Rev. Scott Edmondson, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home.
Davis died Tuesday, April 30, 1996, at Lubbock´s Methodist Hospital.
He was born Jan. 15, 1923, in Tioga. He graduated from Crosbyton High School and attended Wayland Baptist University in Plainview and McMurry University in Abilene. He was a U.S. veteran of WWII, and he married Norma Crump on March 8, 1947, in Crosbyton. He was a member of Crosbyton Masonic Lodge 1020 AF&AM and First Baptist Church.
He worked for Crosbyton Implement Co., and he owned the House of Ideas. He was a district sales manager for Hunt Seed Co., and he was a district sales manager for Caprock Garden Seed and Production Plus Seed Co of Plainview. He had owned a trucking business until 1981.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Nancy Wilson of Austin; a son, Jay of Irving; a stepbrother, Bill Simmons of Lubbock and a granddaughter.
