Services for Curtis Lee Davis, 78, of Wolfforth will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Monterey Church of Christ with Brooks Kennedy of Bedford ad Dave Emory, minister of Wolfforth Church of Christ, officiating.

Burial will be in Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Carter-Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.

Davis died Wednesday afternoon in St. Mary´s of the Plains Hospital after a brief illness.

He was born in Acuff and married Dovie Marsh on June 3, 1939, in Lubbock. He received a bachelor´s degree from Abilene Christian University and was granted a master´s degree from West Texas State University. He had taught school in Crosbyton, in Portales and Floyd in NM and at the Ft. McDermett Indian Reservation in Nevada. He had been a Wolfforth resident for more than 10 years. He was a member of the Church of Christ and was a lay minister.
