Prayer Services for Olivia Bustamante Davila, 78, of Crosbyton were held at 7:00 PM Monday in the Calvario Community Church. Services were held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 22, 2008 in the same church with Rev. Mateo Rendon officiating. Burial followed in the Crosbyton Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
Mrs. Davila passed away Saturday in Lubbock. She was born June 11, 1930 in Sinton, Texas to the late Jesus and Ascencion (Garza) Bustamante. On April 30, 1954 she married Jose Aaron Davila in Sinton, Texas. He preceded her in death December 10, 1998.
Olivia was a homemaker and a member of the Calvario Community Church in Crosbyton. She moved to Crosbyton in 1955. She is preceded in death by two sons, Arthur Gutierrez who died in Vietnam in 1969 and Fred Davila who passed away Feb. 15, 2001.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Audon and Amy Gutierrez, two daughters and their husbands, Odie and Gilbert Navarro and Gloria and Mateo Rendon, a daughter-in-law, Rita Davila of Crosbyton, two sisters, Angie Arriaga and Maria Olivo, both of Crosbyton, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Serving as casket bearers will be Arturo Gutierrez, Jennifer Rendon, Maria Atcheson, Shaun Navarro, Olivia Wood, Stephanie Moreno and David Davila. Honorary casket bearers will be Abe Rubalcado, Adam Reyna, Isaac Flores and Isiah Flores.
